I just got this facebook message today. Any takers?
Hey,
I heard you guys were working on a new album for Johnny Okay. If you wanted I could probably get you guys a gig at my college, Judson University. You could sell merch or whatever and you would all get paid for playing. Let me know if your interested...my good friend Zach Green is the concert chair for our student organization and we could get you guys a show.

Isn't that where BK goes to school?
I'm down.
Practicing would be the issue.
But another Wheaton weekend would be GREAT.

I'm always down with more J/OK activity. A few thoughts:
1. Practicing is always difficult these days, so I'd like to really push serious self-preparation if there's to be a reincarnation of Johnny Okay.
2. If there is to be more J/OK action, we need to start playing new stuff. Not saying we have to have anything ready by our next show, but I'd like to start putting it together.
3. Matt quit. Could we pull off a two horn horn section? (David on bari?) Can we find a trombonist?

I am always interested in playing with Johnny Okay. However, I don't think it would be easy for me to anytime in the next month or two or three. Things are kind of piling up (like tiles) for me this last semester, and it be hard for me to give up a weekend or anything like that at this point. But if a really good opportunity presents itself, I'm sure I could make things work. I still think it would be cool though if people could get themselves prepared so that once I'm done we can hit the Milwaukee scene hard.
So it sounds like the consensus is no go to the Judson show, but in the mid-term future we're going to be bringing it back.
I'm down.
